NJ Cooper was an absolute joy to meet and she certainly asked some challenging questions as chairperson for our Feisty Females panel. I have never met a more passionate speaker than my fellow panelist Kishwar Desai whose book tackles the terrible issue of female infanticide. Thank you to both for their wonderful contribution to the festival’s crime fiction day. I wish I had photos of the lovely Peter Guttridge. I met him in the green room and we talked about international thriller and crime fiction festivals. I hope to see him again at one of them.
